'The Gospel'
Kris and I saw 'The Gospel' last night. Anyway I found it an amusing movie.
There are occasional lapses in credibility.

A successful R&B singer who years ago rejected God returns home when his father, a bishop, falls ill.
That is pretty much the story of the movie

The soundtrack of 'The Gospel' is okay and the direction (by Rob Hardy) was reasonably good.
It's an interesting movie, not for everyone, but the story is engaging.

Not meaningful
I just want to go to sleep and it leaks out in embarassing globs of lack of gratification. I am a fairly intelligent person and I hate it.

I just downloaded Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds's new CD 'Live At Radio City'. This album convinces me, though.

Albertson's
Last week I was shopping at Albertson's.
Sometimes I put them on ebay if I can't use the coupons. Coupons seem to be a way of life here.

New Talib Kweli
Talib Kweli's new album 'Ear Drum' has been in and out of my playlist for a week or so now. Ear Drum is a nice hip-hop CD.
I never bought any Talib Kweli albums before because it didn't interest me.
The scope of music on Ear Drum is quite broad.

Candidates' Iraq rhetoric may shift
I just read this Voice of America page. The US presidential contenders, no matter how steadfast their Iraq positions have been, may have to adjust once elected commander in chief, observers say.

In the headlines
Independent has an interesting read: Shannon to stay with police. Detectives were given a further 24 hours yesterday to question the man found with missing schoolgirl Shannon Matthews, as the head of West Yorkshire police mounted a robust defence of one of his force's most expensive operations.

Ok, want to comment on this post? I look forward to comments from anyone on this subject.

E! Online states: 'Horton Hears a Who'..

Jim Carrey, left, played Horton the elephant, Carol Burnett voiced Kangaroo and Steve Carell was the mayor of Who-ville. Voicing the CG animated film didn't end up fun and games for Jim Carrey, Steve Carell and Carol Burnett.
